Fill Up The Air Balloon And Ride With Me!

Here's a few photos of my latest painting. These photos don't do it justice at all. It has lots of layers and texture everywhere that are hard to see unless you are standing in front of it but at least you can get the idea.

This piece was inspired by feelings of losing control, learning to let go and allowing a higher power to take you where you need to go, followed by intense happiness and feelings of relief in doing so.

The paints used in the balloon portion of this painting are Claudine Hellmuth's new Studio line of paints. They worked fantastic. They have a very smooth consistancy and have a nice semi-opaque quality that is very nice for washes. :) I like her multi-medium too. Non-toxic and it even smells good. The only thing is, I wish it came in larger containers! hehe

Hi, Sarah! Gorgeous piece! Thanks for including the picture of it in the dining room so we could get a sense of its scale! It's huge! :-)

Thanks guys! :)

It IS huge! hehe It's fun to break away from small stuff from time to time and go really big. I also felt the large size helped convey the feelings I was having.

Awesome, Sarah! And it looks gorgeous in your dining room. I just read Kathryn's email, and I can't wait to see what your new yahoo group will be like. I'm still trying to start Soul Journal! {blush} lol

This is a wonder piece, and the scale! I would have never guessed. I love the background with all it's layering. I could just sink into that!!

This is beautiful! What a good place to hang it, too. I love working on the bigger scale.

Love all the layers, the textures, the pretty colors and most of all the baloon. I use balloons to represent my process of "letting go." Thanks for sharing it!

I have asked Ranger for the larger sizes but they need to hear from the consumers to persuade them :)
